Dapol’s up-to-date HST.

Cross Country Trains, Network Rail and East Midlands Trains schemes are the latest liveries to be applied to the hugely popular Dapol N gauge HST. The liveries are bang up to date and will soon be followed by additional trailers and a catering car. Here’s some shots of the Cross Country HST book set together with the Network Rail pair – both really neatly finished with good colours and sharp printing.

The book set consist of two trailers and the power cars, one of which is motorised. The power cars are fitted with 6-pin DCC interfaces and fully working lights. The trailers feature light bar connections; close coupling cams and flush glazing too.

It is amazing how powerful the Dapol HST is. The single motorised power car supplied in each bookset is capable of powering a full size set thanks to a five pole motor, all wheel drive and stub axle current collection. The pair of NR yellow ones will find their way into the Dudley Heath project once I have completed the trailers for it using Electra Railway Graphics overlays.
