On a cold winter night.

December 8, 2014

Dunkeld and Birnam station at night – a little long exposure photography with a north bound service for Inverness making an appearance. Give it a couple of years and Class 170s operating Scottish Inter-City services will be gone in favour of refurbished HST sets. The signal box is probably on borrowed time too. BTW, if you are planning to do a little fast train chasing up the Highland line next year – don’t push it on the A9!

Trying to bag the ‘Great Britain’ tour train (or any other special charter) at multiple locations could earn you a speeding ticket thanks to the average speed cameras now in operation on the single carriageway A9 between Perth and Inverness.
